I do my best to personally interact and vet each of the investments listed below, but given the fact that there are various ways to invest in real estate (funds, syndications, platforms, REITs, and turn-key properties), and that the nature of these investments requires a more ‘long term’ relationship, consider this more of an ‘introductory list’ than recommended products. Though I do my best to review each and every one of these investments, I encourage you to do your own due diligence on these companies before you consider partnering with them.

Semi-Retired MD

Semi Retired MD is a company founded by two previously full-time physicians. Drs. Leti and Kenji were newlyweds working as full-time hospitalists. On paper, it looked like they had everything: the well-paying careers, the happy marriage, the luxurious rental home, the cars, etc.

But in reality? Despite having worked for several years, they had very little savings. Despite their high income, they had very little freedom in terms of time or money. Ultimately they decided to pursue a side hustle in real estate investing which has exploded.

Since then, their company has expanded to own hundreds of properties as well as creating a real estate education program and an podcast. They have now stepped away from working full time while they manage their real estate portfolio and teach others to do the same.

Though they do not offer real estate investments per se, they do provide a phenomenal ‘crash course’ in real estate investing for interested physicians. I do have an affiliate relationship with Semi-Retired MD, but I also think their program is wonderful and I highly recommend it to any motivated physician or healthcare professional looking to diversify their portfolio and expedite financial freedom!
