Guest Post Policy
Thank you for considering a submission to The Motivated MD! We publish content every week and simultaneously promote it on our social media accounts. By submitting a guest post on The Motivated MD, you will get your article in front of tens of thousands of readers annually. Guest posting can help establish yourself as an expert in your niche and help you gain hundreds of new readers to your site simply by leveraging our audience! Below, you will find our guidelines for submitting a guest post.
Original Content Please
All guest posts submitted and published on our website must be original work. We do not accept plagiarized, duplicated, or syndicated content as guest posts. This means that we do not accept nor publish works that have already been featured or published elsewhere on the internet or any other media platform.
We also do not accept content that repeats topics that have already been thoroughly addressed on our website. If we have already written multiple articles on a topic, we work to avoid being repetitive.
Lastly, all images in your submission must be original or obtained from a legitimate royalty-free website (i.e., not taken directly from Google Images, etc.)
Applicable to Our Audience
We ask that the topics covered be relevant and insightful to our audience. The Motivated M.D. predominantly produces content targeting physician personal finance, physician side gigs, debt elimination, and aspects of Financial Independence and Retiring Early (FIRE movement).
Our audience is primarily healthcare professionals, physicians in training (interns, residents, fellows), practicing physicians, dentists, lawyers, entrepreneurs, hihg-income earners, and more! If your work speaks to individuals who simultaneously are looking to improve their quality of life while building wealth, then your content is likely to thrive.
No Advertisements
Though we create sponsored content, The Motivated M.D. personally selects the businesses or products we partner with for promotion. We do not accept outside ‘sponsored posts.’ We will decline any submissions written as long-form advertisements or exist only to create a valuable link (backlink) to another website.
Any guest post submitted should contain no paid links or backlinks.
Between 1500-2000 Words
We have found that long-form blog posts attract the largest viewership. As such, we recommend that your submission have a word count between 1500-2000.
Easy to Read
Our audience comes from various backgrounds and reading levels. We ask that your submission be comprised of mostly short paragraphs so that the content is easily readable and digestible. Use headings, subheadings, bullets, lists, and other visual elements to break up long blocks of text.
Includes Sources
Any referenced statistic or quote in your submission should have an external link to the original source.
Make It Personal
Lastly, we encourage all guest post submissions to include real-life stories and experiences. Adding a personal touch to an article grounds it in reality. Consider including personal stories of past mistakes, losses, wins, opportunities for growth, retirement, reaching financial independence, and experience that will demonstrate your authority in your niche.
